North Carolina Traffic Violation Defense Attorney
Speeding tickets and other moving violations are often relatively minor legal matters. If you are looking for a criminal defense lawyer to represent you in a traffic matter, it is very likely you are facing serious potential consequences, such as heavy fines or even the suspension or revocation of your driver's license. I am Randolph J. Hill, Attorney at Law. I have over 20 years of legal experience, and I have defended countless individuals against all types of charges, including traffic tickets. Contact me today.
There are no guarantees in any case. On the other hand, in traffic cases, there is very often room to negotiate. In many cases, my efforts have led to the reduction or dismissal of some charges. As a result, I have helped many people avoid insurance points and DMV points.
A Dependable Defense Against Speeding Tickets and Traffic Violations
In every traffic or speeding ticket, you can count that I will take a strategic approach to effectively resolving your case. There are many instances where a Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC) may be an appropriate result. In a PJC, you will acknowledge guilt for the specific crime or infraction you have been charged with. Although the charge will be present on your record, you will not be charged with either DMV or insurance points, and you will not have to pay a fine.
A PJC is not right in every instance and must be used sparingly. For instance, a driver can only request one PJC over a three year period for insurance point purposes, and only two PJCs are allowed over a five year period for DMV point purposes. Therefore, if you have already obtained a PJC on a relatively minor charge, you may not be able to get another PJC if you are later accused of a more serious traffic offense.
