Common Traffic Violations I Handle
I have experience handling a variety of traffic offenses including:
- Speeding
- Reckless driving
- Hit and run
- Stop sign or stop light violation (running or rolling through)
- Driving while license revoked or suspended
When you contact me, online, over the phone or in person, we will discuss whether it is worth the time and expense of proceeding to trial with your traffic violation, or if a plea agreement is more appropriate.
Driving While Your Licensed is Revoked or Suspended
A driving while license suspended or revoked violation can arise from overlooking a past traffic violation. Until this violation is resolved, the DMV will not reinstate your license. If you fail to address this charge in North Carolina, and move out-of-state, you will be unable to obtain a driver's license in your new state.
Even if you have already moved out-of-state, call me. Many times I am able to take care of this violation without you having to return to North Carolina.
How To Protect Yourself From Rising Insurance Costs Due to a Traffic Violation
In North Carolina, you have the ability to protect yourself from the negative impact a traffic violation can have on your insurance rates. If you request a Prayer for Judgment Continued (PJC) from the court, your traffic offense will not count against your insurance, keeping your rates from rising. However, it is important to note that you are allowed only one PJC per household every three years.
To avoid requesting a PJC unnecessarily, contact me, Randolph J. Hill, by e-mail or call 888-337-1484. I can advise you on whether you should request a PJC in conjunction with your traffic offense.
